Standards

Editorial Policy

Every page on CasinoUXFieldnotes follows the same rules: primary sources first, exact quotations, dated citations, labeled examples and prompt corrections.

Sources

  • We cite the regulator, the standard or the official guidance itself, not a summary of it, wherever we can read the original.
  • Quotations are copied exactly. Where a quotation is shortened, the omitted part is paraphrased, not invented.
  • Every source shows the date it was published or updated, or "no date shown", and the date we read it.
  • When a rule has exceptions or conditions, we say so or say that they exist.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help search for sources, summarize long documents and draft text. A person on the CasinoUXFieldnotes Editorial Desk checks every fact, number, date and quotation against the original source before publication, and decides what is published. AI tools are never credited as authors, and we do not publish text that has not been checked.

Examples and illustrations

Every worked example, sample message and illustration on the site is invented to show a pattern, and is labeled as such. None is copied from, or describes, a real operator's product. Our illustrations are original drawings made for the site; we do not use operator screenshots, logos or photographs.

Independence

We do not accept payment or sponsorship from gambling operators for coverage, and we do not rank or review operators. The owner's commercial interests in iGaming marketing services are stated in the disclosure.

Corrections

Report an error through the contact page with the page address and a source. We aim to reply within five working days. If we confirm the error, we fix it, change the page's update date and, for a change of substance, add a short correction note at the foot of the page. We do not silently change quotations.

Language and style

We write in plain US English for an international professional audience, keep official names and quotations in their original spelling, and avoid gambling promotion. Pages about gambling include safer gambling information, and our safer gambling page lists free help in each market we cover.
