Player Journey Checklist
Thirty checks across the seven stages of a casino or sportsbook product. Tick what you have confirmed, print the list for a workshop or download your results as a spreadsheet file.
Ticks stay in this page only. Nothing is stored or sent, and reloading the page clears them.
How to use the checklist
Work through one market and one device at a time, in a test account. Tick an item only when you have seen it working, not when the specification says it should. Items that refer to a market, such as the limit prompt before the first deposit in Great Britain, apply only there; skip them for other markets and note why in your own records.
Each stage matches a column in the player journey matrix, which links to the research behind every check. For detailed accessibility findings, record them in the accessibility observation log so each one is tied to a WCAG 2.2 criterion.
Where the checks come from
The registration checks draw on WCAG 2.2 criteria 3.3.7 and 3.3.8 and Ontario's Standard 2.23. The deposit checks follow the Gambling Commission's limit rules in force since October 31, 2025. The gameplay checks reflect the Commission's 2021 online games rules and WCAG's color and target size criteria. The verification checks reflect the British rule that verification comes before gambling and the Australian rule that it comes before a bet. The account checks follow Ontario's 24-hour cooling-off rule for relaxing limits.
The checklist is a review aid, not a compliance assessment. A product can pass every item and still breach a rule we have not listed.
