Field Notes
Field notes are short and practical. Each one takes a single interface pattern, such as a status badge or a receipt, and shows what good looks like, with sample wording you can adapt.
Research papers cover a whole area, such as withdrawals or accessibility, with the rules behind it. Field notes focus on one component. Read a note when you are designing or reviewing that component this week and want concrete wording, a checklist and the criterion that applies.
Every example in the notes is invented to show the pattern. None of them is taken from, or describes, an operator's product.
